mama i beba (Serbian for Mother and baby) was first conceived in 2003 by 2 mothers,
Lisa Wilson and Jana Maric, after the birth of Jana’s first child and Lisa learning
baby #2 was on it’s way! Lisa and Jana had long dreamed of starting a business
together. After trying to find high quality clothing and accessories locally
for themselves and their kids; Eleanor, Aleks, and Henry. Lisa and Jana realized
that the "region’s" selection left a lot to be desired. As a result, the
idea was born to open a maternity and children’s clothing boutique with unique
accessories. Their doors opened August 2004. Jana’s background as a retail professional for Marshall Field’s and Lisa’s experience as a savvy shopper seemed a perfect match. This team has created a boutique that is both fashionable and fun for adults and children alike. Upon entering mama i beba you immediately realize you are not in any ordinary children’s or maternity store. There is a unique mix of clothing from infant, toddler, child, maternity and accessories from designers including: Tea, Za Za couture, Giggle Moon, Cakewalk, kauffman, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Diaper Dude, Teva, Maddie Boo bedding, Serena & Lily bedding, Japanese Weekend, Mia Bossi diaper bags, Corky Coats, Biscotti, Kate Mack, and Lipstik. The owners offer after hour’s appointments for baby registry and gift buying. We even do "curb service. Just ask!
